Hi there crafty friend! Thank you so much for making the stop on my blog coming from the super talented Maria Sabina.
For today I have a project using some of my favorite Cotton and Thistle set. I grew up in Texas with fields upon fields of cotton, so this set reminds me of my childhood.
I felt this image should be minimally colored, and allow the beauty of the cotton to show through.
To make this card, I matted a white piece of Neenah 110 lb cardstock over a kraft sheet cut 5.50 in by 4.25 in.
With blue watercolor, I layered a couple washes and set the cardstock aside to dry. The vase and the stems were stamped, die cut then glued together. I then added clear Nuvo Drops to create a water effect.
The cotton was left white as the cardstock and added a pearl white Nuvo drops.
Then the whole thing was placed on the card panel with foam adhesive, and decorated with more clear Nuvo drops to make a waterdroppelet effect.
And that is it for this card, what are your thoughts on this Thanksgiving/Fall friendly card? Your next stop is Melissa Phillips
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Crystal
