Honey Bee August Release Blog Hop

Good Morning Honey Bees! Welcome to our August release Honey Hop!!!

All this week we have been showing you little sneaks of our awesome new stamp sets and dies!

Tomorrow our new release goes live and to celebrate we are showing you some beautiful projects, Today!!!

Here is my project featuring the new stamps!

Honey Bee Zen Florals, and Blessed stamp set
To make this, I began by trimming a foiled piece of patterned paper. Next I heat embossed in black the edge flowers from the beautiful Zen Florals set on vellum, then flipped the vellum and repeated the process.

Waiting for that to cool, I heat embossed in gold glitter the blessed sentiment from the Blessed stamp set, and die cut around it.

I adhered the vellum on the patterned paper, and using 3D foam, attached the blessed on to the card. Next on gold paper, I heat embossed in black the "to have you". Attached that with foam adhesive and finished off with gold sequins.

Now, on to the Hop:

What’s a Honey Hop without some sweet prizes, right? This time we not only have one awesome prize pack but TWO!! One winner will win our zen florals pack (Zen florals, Zen Bouquet, and each of their matching die sets) and our second winner will win our Alpha prize pack! Jack O'Layers with Crystal

Hi there Strawberry Jude Stamps fans! Crystal here with my first post as your design team member. Today I have a card featuring my favorite set from the August release, Jack O'Layers!

This was a relatively simple card to make! First I began by stamping the pumpkin from the Jack O'Layers set onto a white piece of card stock. Once that was dry, I fussy cut around it and set aside.

Next, I trimmed a piece of kraft card stock as my base, layered with leaves patterned paper and placed a brown card stock on top. I placed my felt leaves at the bottom, then added a yellow checkered paper. I adhered the pumpkin with 3D foam, then placed my die cut "thanks" sentiment.
To finish it off, glossy accents was added to the die cut.

This one turned out so cute, and ready for fall.
Supplies used:

SJS Jack O'Layers
White, brown and kraft card stock,
Felt leaves
Echo Park Paper Pad in "Fall is in the air"
Glossy accents
Thanks die

I hope you like the card, and come by again soon!

This card was fun to make with lots of stamping involved, so lets get started!

First I stamped the bee trail on the side of the card in black. Next I stamped comb in yellow, while that dried I stamped the honey house on to separate paper and water colored that. Next fuzzy cut and adhered on the card. I then placed the whole base onto a patterned paper. To finish it off, I added a “hello” die cut in black.

Golden Blooms

Hi Honey bees, Crystal here on this beautiful Wednesday with a bit of a different sympathy card for a friend. I wanted to create a something elegant yet sympathetic.

DSC_0107

First I trimmed a base of black card stock, then I proceeded to heat emboss in gold the prayers sentiment from the HB Prayers stamp set. Once that was all set, I heat embossed the flowers from Country Blooms on the base. While I waited for that to cool, I heat embossed another set of flowers from Country Bloom set on another piece of black card stock.

Using gold watercolors, I colored the inside of each flower. Once that was dry I cut them out and adhered them to the base with foam adhesive.
DSC_0101 To finish this off, I added Honey Bee dew drops on the edges of the flowers.

I thought the way this layout turned out was elegant, and placed the sentiment as the main focus.

Blooms of Thank You's

Hi friendly bees! Crystal here today with a thank you card featuring the ever popular Bless Your Heart set and Country Blooms.

To make this card, I started by trimming Kraft card stock .25 in from the white base. Then on a separate card stock, I heat embossed in white the wreath from Country Blooms. Next I stamped and colored the flowers from Country Blooms. The sentiment was stamped in white pigment ink, and finished off with white twine.
