Sweet Birthday

Hi there! This is my second card created last night. I am combining three challenges this time. I am using Your Next Stamp Color Challenge with Paper Smooches Anything goes challenge and Little Tangles Bling Bling Challenge.

This card was made using Paper Smooches Hullabaloo stamp set. Color coordination from Your Next Stamp and added some "bling" for Little tangles challenge. I absolutely loove this card.

Blue Birthday

Happy Tuesday! Last night during Monday Night Football I took advantage of all the little ones hanging out with daddy. I was very productive and was able to make 3 cards I absolutely loved.

This first one is using the Altenew Persian Motifs. This card was the most time consuming one, as I colored with alcohol markers. Then heat embossed the "happy birthday" sentiment from PaperWing Productions in Pewter from American Crafts.

Playing with Friends

These last couple months have been interesting. With a possible move from Wyoming to Pittsburgh, new baby, new job, and selling our home, it sure has been difficult around here. However, I been blessed to have an awesome friend Heather Hoffman  has been through it with me and I cannot thank her enough.

Yesterday Heather and family moved back to Washington, and we got to enjoy their company for a few days. Heather made this awesome card with the Mama Elephant stamp set. Hope this card wins, as she is on the road, and I can email her her gift certificate! :)

The challenge is Holiday cards/tags:

and here is the card:

Talented isn't she!  Love her to pieces and sure miss her!

Hero Arts Silver Lining Card Using Water Color Technique

Thanks for joining me, today I am demonstrating a new technique using water colors and heat embossing. With Memorial day weekend upon us I am using Hero Arts Operation Write Home stamp set in "You Are A Rainbow".  25% of the profits from the sale of the Operation Write Home stamp sets are donated to the organization Operation Write Home. OWH sends blank handmade greeting cards to our nations armed forces.

So let's get started.
1. Make your card base from card stock. 5.50 x 4.25 inches.
2. Trim water color paper to 5.25 x 4.00 inches.
3. Round corners of water color paper.
4. Using a wet brush, moisten the water color sheet prior to coloring.
5. Dab colors in a circle motion.
6. Once water coloring is complete, proceed to dry with heat embossing gun.
7. Stamp Hero Arts image with Versa Mark watermark stamp pad.
8. Place embossing powder over the stamped image and shake off excess.
9. Emboss with heat gun.
10. Once embossing is dry and cool, place embellishment of gems for the "silver lining".
11. Glue to the card base.
12. Enjoy.

Let's get started:
1. Stamp the larger image in this case the flower from Majestic Morning Bouquet in Versamark, and then embossed it with the pink  embossing powder.
2. Blend distress inks onto my background using Peeled Paint, Ever green Bough, Shaded Lilac, Spun Sugar.
3. Stamp the black flowers with Archival ink, as was the sentiment.
4. Mount the whole thing on to a lilac card stock, then adhere to card front.

Friend's Wedding/Bridal Card

silhouteet 6-3
Wedding season is here and what a better way to use our Silhouette Cameo than for all those wedding cards. Today I am dusting off the cameo and getting to work using a card that can be bought directly from the Silhouette Studio. Combining this cutting file with a beautiful and easy water color background, the effect gives this card an elegant feel.
The color was inspired by the bride's color scheme of teal and pink. This card can also be easily given for a bridal shower too!
Let's get started.
1. Purchase & download"Wedding Dress Card" by Angela Angelova from the Silhouette Studio.

5. Water color card using 2-3 colors and let dry (Or dry with heat embosser)
6. Glue water colored paper behind the card using foam adhesives.
7. Place Want 2 Scrap bling on flowers.
