June Color Combos | Rainbow Circles | Unity Stamp Company

Happy day friends! Crystal here with my final installment of June’s Rainbow series for my Color Combos with Crystal.  (Missed the first episode, click HERE  and the second one HERE and last weeks HERE )Nothing says summer quite like a rainbow!  I am so excited to be sharing this card made with  Obsessed with Florals Background stamp  and sentiment from With You I am Home Kit.

If you have not seen either of these sets yet, you should definitely check it out; I absolutely adore the florals for heat embossing.

On my project for this post, I started out with a white background base since I thought this would especially make those rainbow circles really stand out.

Let me tell you how I made this:

  1. I trimmed a white piece of cardstock to be my card base.
  2. Trimmed watercolor cardstock a quarter of an inch smaller than the card base.
  3. Stamp and heat emboss the Obsessed with Florals Background stamp with white powder
  4. Trim a piece of black cardstock, heat emboss in white the sentiment from With You I am Home kit.
  5. Using Gansai Tambi watercolor palette, create circles of color starting in the center. Changing color per circle. Let dry.
  6. Place sentiment with foam adhesive on the center of the panel.
  7. Place the whole thing over the card base.
  8. Enjoy!
I of course made a video for this card! So please press play and let me know your thoughts!  I love seeing your creations on the Unity Show and Tell. Be sure to tag me so I can see it <3

Thank you so much for joining me!

Pretty Pink Posh | June Release Blog Hop

Happy day friends! Crystal here with a pretty card post and I am so excited to be sharing this card made with the Geraniums from Pretty Pink Posh. If you have not seen this set yet, you should definitely check it out; I absolutely adore this stamp set.

You should have arrived here from the awesome Jeanne Jachna . If you are lost on the hop, the line up is at the end of this post.

When Paulina showed us this stamp set, I immediately ran outside to take close up photos of my geraniums, because I wanted to re-create God's amazing coloring!

I don't know if I even got close, but I am pretty happy about it.

To make this card I used a light gray cardstock, heat embossed the leaves in silver powder from Simon Says Stamp.

Then is same heat embossing powder, I heat embossed Best Wishes from the Everyday Greetings Stamp Set

Next, I splatted white paint. Now for the Geraniums, I stamped and heat embossed a bunch of them on white Neenah cardstock, die cut them with the matching Geraniums Coordinating Dies

I then colored each one of them using my Copics, and placed them on the card with foam adhesive. As my finishing touch, I embellished with Metallic Silver Jewels

Heffy Doodle Turns ONE | Celebration Blog Hop

Hi there guys! Crystal here AGAIN! Thanks for stopping by my blog for this awesome celebration of Heffy Doodle's first birthday. You should have arrived here from the AMAZING Laura Sterckx . Her project was absolutely stunning, huh?!

A few weeks ago, Lesley and I were planning out the summer calendars, in our conversation I had to ask, "hey, when was official launch date?" So, after much going back and forth June 13th it was. I know Lesley spent MONTHS planning Heffy Doodle's 1st release because she showed it to me at Creativation January of 2017. 6 months prior to the launch! At that time we spoke about my role to help out with the design team coordination and voila I got the coolest role on the planet. So my friend, here we are ONE year later, a couple releases under our belts, with retailers all over the planet. It has been truly an inspiring year. I am truly grateful to be here, celebrating the first of many more (I hope) .

Now onto my project!

For my card, I used a couple sets from the newest June 2018 release.

To make this I :
1. Created a wash of color using Taylored Expressions Liquid watercolors in Blue Corn, and Apple Green.
2. Heat Embossed in white the Hello You from HD Big Bold Words.
3. Heat embossed in silver the I miss our chats from Wingman stamp set
4. Die cut clouds from Swirly Cloud dies
5. Heat embossed partial letters from the Hello You in silver and adhered over the white Hello You with foam adhesive
6. Colored, die cut and adhered the birdies from Wingman.
7. Splatted TE Blue Corn water color over all of it.

This card was quite simple to make, and I certainly enjoyed coloring those birds from the Wingman stamp set.

Now time to tell you about a few thing regarding this hop!
