Winnie & Walter |Die Cuts and Stamping | Take 3

Happy Saturday crafty friends! Today I am here with my 3rd project combining stamping and die cutting.

This card is made using two of Winnie & Walter Sets. Sketchy Thoughts Stamps and Sketchy Thoughts Cutaways along with  In Bloom: Lola's Bouquet with Joni Andaya

First, I stamped the leaves from Lola's Bouquet  in three different shades of gray onto the white card base. (Tip: Allow drying between stamping to avoid getting your fingers inky and staining the card... as I did)

Next, I stamped the speech bubble from Sketchy Thoughts using the middle shade of gray. Using white embossing powder, I heat embossed the sentiment from Sketchy Thoughts and once that was dried I die cut using Sketchy Thoughts Cutaways

Before placing my speech bubble, I added a few strips of washi tape, then with 3D foam adhesive I placed my sentiment.

Giveaway:

Comment on my corresponding Winnie & Walter post on my blog for a chance to win a $30 gift certificate. There will be 4 posts for the month of June, giving you 4 entries to win.

That is all for this Saturday. Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy the sunshine!

  8. I love the elegant look of your card. The leaves in the grays and the bit of glitz with washi is a fabulous combination!!!

I don't think I would have even noticed the slight smudging had you not mentioned it. Thank you for just being real, though, and giving us that helpful reminder tip abt letting the ink dry. So often I see these 100% absolutely perfect, completely flawless cards on designers' blogs and feel like if my card has a little mistake on it somewhere that it doesn't measure up and maybe isn't even usable! This is soooo NOT the case. I find that recipients just enjoy their cards and that I am my own worst critic! So I just want to thank you again for going ahead and posting this one and mentioning abt the ink. You are the best!!

  11. I love the monochromatic stamped background, with that pop of gold glittery washi tape for punch! Also, the little smudge is barely noticeable, but your tip to let the layers dry completely is always a good one.
