Mother's Day Box

Hello there! Happy Friday! Crystal here for today on day 5 for the Petaloo Hop and I made a gorgeous box using Quick Quotes Catalina Island 300 and of course assorted Petaloo beauties.

 

I started by covering my card board box with Catalina Island 300. This is a square box so I cut (4) 4inx2in for the sides, and (1) 4in. x 4in.  for the top.

Next, I wrapped the sides with Fancy Trims in Burlap and the top with Fancy Trim Burlap in Teal.  Once the trimmings were glued, I made a big bow with Fancy Trim Burlap in Natural.

 

I began by decorating the bow using Teal Spring Dahilias, and Spice Dahilias. The leaves are from Spring Darjeeling collection and the tiny little white flowers are Petites in cream. 

Next I decorated the sides with the Spring Darjeeling collection in teal.

 

To finish it off, I added some pearls and created a tag from Quick Quotes Catalina Island Chipboard Die Cuts. 

My box turned out pretty cute and it was so simple to make!

Card Inspiration Tuesday

Hello there! Happy Tuesday! Today we have card inspiration featuring Quick Quotes Gypsy Road Papers!
This is a fun card created using black and gold color combos with a little glitter.

 I used two sheets of paper, Gypsy Road 300 and 100.  The light colored background is Gypsy Road 100 trimmed to 5 x 4.25 inches. The black polka dot is Gypsy Road 300, trimmed to 4.75 x 4 inches.

I did lots of embossing with gold and clear embossing powder.

 

The finishing touches are Gypsy Road Chipboard Die cut stickers.

Club Q with Crystal

Hello there! Today I am playing with April's Club Q! This is one of the industries best monthly paper crafting kits available. This month is featuring Catalina Island collection which is absolutely beautiful and a great set to scrapbook your spring break memories.

First up I played along with the Altered Kit.

 

I made a mini calendar to keep on my desk!  

 

This is such a fun kit and I really enjoyed making this calendar as the color cordination is done!

On the Gypsy Road

Hello there! Crystal here, hope you had a fun April fool's day! Today I am playing along this with the Gypsy Road collection. I made a one sheet, feminine yet simple card with Gypsy Road 400 and PowderPuff Antique Linen Chalking ink.

Here are the steps I took to make this card, which would be perfect of a friend.
1. I trimmed by black base cardstock to 5.50 in. X  4.25.
2. The second layer of beige cardstock to 5inx4, then stamped flowers using PowderPuff Antique Linen Chalking ink.
3. Stamped by girl image on a separate card stock and cut.
4. Heat embossed the sentiment on the beige card stock.
5. Cut flowers and banner from Gypsy Road 400

 6. Stamped flowers on banner using PowderPuff Antique Linen Chalking ink.

7. Glued everything together.

I love sticking to color combos already provided by the papers, and Gypsy Road 400 is perfect to pair with blacks and Antique Linen.
